Fresh and Easy Salsa Recipe
This Fresh and Easy Salsa Recipe is so easy and flavorful. It is made with simple and fresh ingredients that you could easily grow or find in the grocery store. Whenever I make this recipe it’s gone within a few hours. It’s that good!
You can make this salsa as chunky or as smooth as you want to! We like ours a bit more on the chunky side, but do whatever you’re preference is. Just blend a little more for a smoother consistency. For a chunkier salsa texture, I use the pulse button on my Ninja Blender until it’s barely chopped up and combined.
The Best Ingredients for Fresh Salsa
Roma Tomatoes: I like to use Roma tomatoes because I like the firmer texture. They also contain a lot less water than other tomato varieties. If you would like your salsa less watery, you could remove seeds and membranes.
Jalapeño Pepper: Jalapeño peppers give salsa a great flavor and spice.
Yellow Onion or Sweet Onion: An essential ingredient in any salsa recipe. Onions bring the perfect flavor and slight spice to your dip.
Cilantro: This fresh herb brightens up the dish even more and is a staple in an authentic Mexican salsa.
Lime: Just the juice is perfect and adds a nice zesty flavor to your salsa.
Salt: An essential seasoning that is too often skipped over. Don’t forget to salt to bring out the natural flavors of your fresh ingredients!
